	Ashley and Kisha: Finding the Right Fit Tony Comstock Comstock Films Ashley and Kisha: Finding the Right Fit is the latest film from Tony Comstock, porn's premiere cinema verite director. Comstock specializes in finding real people who are willing to speak frankly about their sex lives, and demonstrate those sex lives on camera, and the latest film follows the same documentary premise, intercutting interviews with brief snippets of a sex scene, followed by the complete scene. While his previous films have focused on straight couples and one gay male couple, this is the first devoted to a lesbian relationship. Ashley and Kisha are a charming couple, very comfortable together, and their story is funny, interesting, and rather charming. 	Chemistry, Volume 1 Tristan Taormino Vivid Finally, someone has done something interesting with the idea of reality-porn! In Chemistry, Volume 1, Tristan Taormino, sex columnist, author, and director, locked seven porn stars up in a house for a day and half, and did interviews and sex scenes, one after another, with them. The results are utterly charming, even more than her previous release House of Ass (which we loved, too). 	Chemistry, Volume 2 Tristan Taormino Vivid/ Smart Ass Chemistry, Volume 2 is the follow-up to Tristan Taormino's award-winning and celebrated "reality porn" release Chemistry. The premise here is essentially the same: Tristan locked eight porn stars in a house for 36 hours, interviewed them, and filmed them having sex -- with no script and no direction beyond being told who to sleep with, so they could do whatever they like. The group dynamics are fascinating, the sex is crazy hot, and the production values are great. The interviews, which provide real insight into life in the business, are awesome, too. Perhaps it's because they were only in a house together for a day and a half, but they all seem to get along remarkably well, and overall they radiate positivity. 	Chemistry, Volume 3 Tristan Taormino Chemistry, Volume 3 is the latest in Tristan Taormino's groundbreaking "reality porn" series, and it's hot, funny, and enlightening. Six well-known adult film stars -- Roxy DeVille, Hillary Scott, Jada Fire, Christian, Derrick Pierce, and Steven St. Croix -- were locked in a house for 36 hours, filmed constantly, periodically interviewed, and encouraged to fuck one another any way at any time, with no direction. The result is a three-and-a-half hour film with about nine actual sex scenes and countless scenes of conversation, confession, laughter, and goofing around. If you're interested in wall-to-wall-sex, this isn't for you, but if you have any curiosity about the real people in porn, this is a rare chance to look behind the curtain. Derrick Pierce and Roxy DeVille are especially interesting with an ongoing discussion on the dynamics of rough sex (choking, slapping, etc.) -- when it's hot and when it's not, when it's acceptable and when it crosses a line. Roxy is totally hilarious, too, presenting a non-stop stream of jokes and stories and weirdness, including cartoon voices and her strange predilection for rolling around in empty bathtubs. Hillary is, as always, flat-out adorable, and Jada doesn't take crap from anybody. They all talk about what they like, and don't like, in their personal and professional sex lives, and discuss strategies for getting through especially tough days on the job. The best sex scenes involve Roxy and Derrick together and Hillary and Christian together, but there are plenty of threesomes, foursomes, and shower sex (poor Christian could barely wash himself without getting ambushed). There's not much in the way of interpersonal drama, with everyone pretty much getting along, so don't expect the petty slapfights typical of most reality shows. It's nice to see performers talking so openly and honestly, and having so much fun. 	Dark Angels Nic Andrews Skillfully directed, beautifully filmed, with a seriously interesting story and wicked-hot sex, Dark Angels is that rarest of all rarities -- a sex video that works both as a movie and as smut. New Sensations reportedly spent months on this film, both in production and post-production, and quite a bit of money as well. And it shows: Dark Angels does an excellent job of pushing the boundary between porn-movies and movie-movies. The production values are first-class (well, on the porno scale of things, anyway), with excellent editing, way-cool special effects, and camerawork that puts other porn movies to shame, all adding up to a stylish, striking, and compelling overall look. 	Dark Garden Michael Ninn From the acclaimed director of Latex, Shock, and Ritual comes one of the most visually exquisite adult movies we've seen in a long, long time. The basic premise is clever and used to very funny effect. A documentary film crew follows around another documentary film crew as they attempt to film the mating habits of San Francisco lesbians. So In Search of the Wild Kingdom is a (fake) documentary about a (fake) documentary about (real) lesbians. (Follow all that?) Imagine one of those National Geographic programs, with cameras watching lions from the distance, only instead of lions, they're watching lesbians. The fundamental joke is that the people having sex don't notice the camera crew in their apartment or in the bar, and there's a really funny bit of business with a "decoy lesbian," a mannequin dressed up and sent out to attract the natives. All that's cute and innovative, but what about the sex? This is a film made by and for lesbians, but given the tastes of most heterosexual men, they're likely to enjoy this, too, and it might even dispel some silly misconceptions about how women have sex. (Short answer: they have sex in all sorts of awesome ways.) The sex scenes are often really intense, especially a long three-way with two women wearing strap-ons. The most important thing: this is real fucking, messy, gasping, sweaty, improvisational, impetuous, spirited, and beautiful. It's a very funny mockumentary, but there's nothing mock about the sex. In Scene 3, Savanna picks up a man she meets on a stairway -- acknowledging the male fantasy of casual impromptu sex -- and takes him to her apartment for some spirited fucking. She has real chemistry with Jean Val Jean, and the anal is especially nice. Scene 4 is a fairly typical boy-girl scene, but Stacey Cash is pretty (she's the long-awaited "black girl"), so it's nice enough. Scene 5 makes the message of the film explicit, with Savanna exhorting you to stop jerking off by yourself and go fuck your wife, already! 	Lascivious Liaisons Digital Playground Lascivious Liaisons is a classy, glossy film featuring beautiful women in stunning lingerie, slow-motion effects and some soft-focus camera work, no vocal track, and a classical-sounding score, all hallmarks of a "couples" movie. The twist here is that all the scenes have some element of BDSM, mostly of a very gentle sort -- though the BDSM doesn't look fake, as it does in many films, but like the sort of playful experimentation lovers would use to spice things up in the bedroom. The cool, blonde, and lovely Jana Cova is the heart of the film, appearing in most of the scenes, but her supporting cast is all top-notch too. It's hard to choose a favorite from among the seven scenes, as all have something impressive to offer, but highlights include Lela Starr in a maid's outfit being chastised by Erik Everhard, and the adorable Kinzie Kenner in a relatively straightforward but fun scene with Jean Val Jean. Of the girl-girl scenes, the best has Jana Cova tying Charlie Laine and Karlie Montana together back-to-back and teasing them orally with a strap-on for a while, finally releasing them for more hardcore fun. 	Lots More Intimate Moments Abby Winters Lots More Intimate moments has nine scenes (ten counting the bonus scene) of cute natural amateur Australian girls masturbating, either alone or in pairs. It's a simple premise, and one that AbbyWinters.com does exceedingly well, and most the scenes are pretty good, though there are a couple of duds, where the girls don't seem to have much fun, and so the viewers won't, either. Standouts include slow-burning brunette Calibre, who tugs her panties up hard through her crotch and, after coming, strokes her own body languidly. Blonde Julianna periodically rolls on her side, tucks a pillow between her thighs, and humps against the fabric, which is arrestingly hot. Siobhan and Alison simply don't do much but lay idly side by side chit-chatting for most of their scene, and the sound isn't especially good or audible. (In the final three minutes they do reach down and get off, and it's a nice three minutes, but still.) 	Marvelous Celeste Digital Playground Some directors and actors are just made for each other. Ingmar Bergman and Liv Ullman. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. Celeste and Jesse Jane. Really, Celeste is the perfect director for Ms Jane. She makes the most of her pin-up good looks without asking her to do things (like act) that aren't in her range. This is another in a series of perfectly wonderful movies that Celeste has done for Digital Playground, and we love them all. This one follows the pattern of the others: A series of wordless vignettes of very attractive people having very attractive sex. Nothing scary or excessively kinky in this one (a fun spanking scene, some velvet-strip bondage), just one yummy romping scene after another. 	The Masseuse (Jenna Jameson) Paul Thomas Vivid Jenna Jameson stars in this remake of the classic Vivid picture starring Hyapatia Lee, with her real-life partner Justin Sterling in the Randy Spears role as her obsessed customer. Paul Thomas directed both versions. Both Jameson and Sterling do a great job, Jameson as the sex worker who tries to help Sterling out of his shell without becoming too involved, and Sterling as the socially-crippled guy trying to find intimacy in all the wrong places. 	Matt & Khym: Better Than Ever Tony Comstock Comstock Films The latest in Tony Comstock's series of documentaries featuring real couples talking about -- and demonstrating -- their sex lives is sweet, sexy, and ultimately even inspirational. Matt and Khym met when she was just out of high school (he was three years older) and, after a brief friendship, became romantically involved. They've been together ever since, for almost twenty years, and the first half of the film features them sitting together on a couch, talking about how they met and the course of their lives together, with an emphasis on the sexual. 	Posh Kitten Celeste Digital Playground Cute! Cute cute cute! This movie is one of the most adorable things we've seen in a long time. The style of the movie is 1950s pinups come to life and doing hardcore. The two leading girls are both delightfully attractive (in a porn-star way), and do the whole vamp-and-pose thing exquisitely. For once, the box-cover exactly matches the content. It's beautifully shot, and the music (sort of weird rock-lounge-jazz) fits the material perfectly. No dialog (which is good, as that has never been Ms Jane's strong suit), not even moans and groans. The art direction, the makeup, everything fits the image. 	Rawhide Nicholas Steele Ultimate Pictures Beautiful photography, beautiful actors, and a beautiful plot... what more can you want from a porn movie? The plot's a good western one: A rancher's daughter sweeps into her father's spread, looking to sell out and cash in. The hands actually doing the work don't much take to that idea... but just how far are they willing to go to stop it? The production values are great (it was shot on HD, and well-rewards a huge monitor), the acting is good, and the script isn't just a way to get from one sex scene to another. 	Strap-on Motel Beatty, Maria Bleu Productions Strap-on Motel is far more classy than its rather straightforward title would suggest. Indeed, it's an elegant and even sweet indie film, made with great care and attention to detail, with a willingness to linger that's absent in most frenetic mainstream porn. There are only two performers onscreen, the blonde London and the boyish Dylan Ryan, and the success of the production depends entirely on their chemistry together; fortunately, they seem perfectly at ease with one another, and the film is like a glimpse into a long lost weekend of languid lust. Dylan and London make love to one another in a motel, and that's all there is to this film, but the closeness of the focus does not necessarily mean a lack of variety. There are scenes shot in black and white, with both women in boy-drag; scenes with elegant evening gowns and high black boots; scenes of breathless fucking in a bathroom; scenes of dripping candlewax; scenes of face-riding, featuring a dildo in a mouth harness. 	Superfreak Shine Louise Houston Pink and White/Blowfish Video The premise of Superfreak is a kind of funky genius: the roaming ghost of punk-funk musician and notorious wild man Rick James possesses the bodies of women and makes them get super-freaky with one another. The ghost, who appears only briefly between possessions, is played by director Shine Louise Houston, who does an impression of Rick James that rivals Dave Chapelle's. Houston is rapidly becoming a name to be reckoned with in the world of independent lesbian porn, and Superfreak is just as hot (and far funnier) than her first award-winning film The Crash Pad. The lascivious ghost of Rick James's first victim is luscious fetish goddess Madison Young (of madisonbound.com and another wonderful Blowfish Video release, Bondage Boob Tube), who masturbates in the opening scene with a dildo and Hitachi Magic Wand. After some sucking and fucking against a wall, the ghost of Rick James decides to move on, leaving Madison bewildered and embarrassed behind the couch; it's a weird and whimsical movie. The ghost of Rick James finds plenty more to entertain himself, though, and we're treated to a delectable series of varied scenes, from two short-haired, lean beauties (Vasa and Shawn) fucking in the kitchen (with a lot of spraying water from the sink), to a bathroom floor-romp with Rozen and Guy Handful that threatens to break fixtures and crack porcelain, to an amazing three-way with deliciously femme lesbians, featuring some of the hottest ass-play we've ever seen, with Dana DeArmond and Princess Donna having their alternately rough and tender way with the lovely Lorelei (familiar to devoted Blowfish fans from our first feature, Clearly Sex). It's a whimsical, warm, funny, unspeakably hot movie, and as a special two-disc set there are heaps of extras. All porn should be this smart and delightful. Highly recommended. 	Taken Veronica Hart Taken is another fine film directed by Veronica Hart which happens to hit all of the elements that we look for in a Couple's Video (see the top of the Couple's Videos section to see what those are). It's a plot-oriented, romance novel-type story of a rich housewife/mother (Ginger Lynn) who's kidnapped by a stranger (Evan Stone, looking very Fabio -- even wearing a white ruffled shirt in one scene) and kept captive until she falls in love with him. The film is mostly populated with performers approaching (or in the case of Hirschel Savage, about to leave) their forties, but they're all quite fit and attractive and still very sexy to watch. The sex, at times fast and even a bit rough, at other times gentle and slow, is all skillfully shot and edited together to show both the passion and personalities of the characters. In addition to some grand sexual performances, particularly from Ginger Lynn and from Alexandra Silk (in her scene with Herschel Savage), the story is also well-acted in the plot scenes, winning Ginger Lynn the Best Actress and Herschel Savage the Best Supporting Actor awards from AVN. 	Tantric Sexual Massage for Lovers Alexander Institute Tantric Sexual Massage for Lovers is a beginner's guide to Tantric sex, focusing on erotic massage techniques. Tantric sex is, in theory, a way to reach a transcendent state through sexual experience. In less spiritually ambitious terms, it's a way for partners to explore one another's bodies with attention, care, and free and open communication. The instructors sit down with couples and talk them through particular techniques, asking them about their experiences as the massage is going on. This isn't (mostly) a hardcore sex video -- tantric massage acts are described as "giving and receiving sessions," and it's mostly one person using various massage techniques on their partner, while their partner focuses on simply relaxing and experiencing the sensations with complete attention. There are some practical suggestions about specific moves you can try, and more general advice, all of which seems useful. Though the narrators repeatedly talk about undertaking tantric exploration in a spirit of playfulness and joy, their delivery is rather monotonal and boring, and their language is overly technical and impersonal -- it doesn't sound like a lot of fun, which is too bad, because it looks intense and effective. The couples doing the demonstrating -- who are mostly an attractive lot, though they're real couples and not professional porn performers -- certainly seem to get a lot out of the experiences. 	Tell Me What You Want Jonathan Morgan Wicked Pictures Jonathan Morgan made his name making fun, light pictures... which this is not. However, he is still one of the best and most imaginative directors working in porn. The plot is not complicated: Missy plays an artist who becomes sexually involved, and sexually obsessed, with Mickey G.'s mystery man. He feeds her libido, and she his, and their sex play becomes more intense each time... But if the sex is hotter and hotter each time, what happens when your libido pushes you over a limit you didn't mean to cross? This movie has lots to recommend it: The sexual chemistry between Missy and Mickey G. is terrific; you do not doubt for a second that they are hot for each other. Missy is sizzling, while not being or trying to look like she's still 19. The sex scenes themselves are beautifully shot. This is a great couple's film, if what the couple in question is looking for is something intense and very, very sexual. We loved it. The "making of" extras on the DVD are funny as hell, too. 	Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to Anal Sex Taormino, Tristan Vivid Ed Tristan Taormino wrote the book on anal sex for women (literally -- it's called The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women), and her Expert Guide to Anal Sex is essentially a video primer on the same subject. Despite the general title, this is specifically about anal play and sex for women, not men -- though many of the principles are the same, be aware there's plenty here about indirect g-spot stimulation and nothing about prostate massage. The film begins with an "anal workshop" hosted by Tristan herself, featuring anatomical diagrams and demonstrations by Lorelei Lee and Ariel X. The workshop is a remarkably complete rundown on the ins-and-outs of anal play, from the basics to more advanced issues, answering questions like: Why would anyone want to do this? How does it feel? What kind of lube should I use? What positions work best? How do I get warmed up?
