Ashley and Kisha: Finding the Right Fit is the latest film
from Tony Comstock, porn's premiere cinema verite director. Comstock
specializes in finding real people who are willing to speak frankly
about their sex lives, and demonstrate those sex lives on camera, and
the latest film follows the same documentary premise, intercutting
interviews with brief snippets of a sex scene, followed by the complete
scene. While his previous films have focused on straight couples and one
gay male couple, this is the first devoted to a lesbian relationship.
Ashley and Kisha are a charming couple, very comfortable together, and
their story is funny, interesting, and rather charming. They met in
college, where Ashley was an openly gay student athlete, and Kisha was a
straight student who wasn't even bi-curious — at least, as far as anyone
knew, including herself. But Ashely pursued Kisha, and gradually won her
over, with some humorous misadventures along the way. (The story of
their first attempt to use a strap-on is hilarious.) Having gotten to
know them a little through their interviews, it's a bit odd to watch
them make love — after all, they're not playing roles, but letting you
peek into their real lives — but the context also makes the sex more
emotionally involving for the viewer. (It doesn't hurt that they're both
gorgeous.) For those of you who can't abide talking, you can elect to
watch just the sex scene, but if that's your attitude, this probably
isn't the film for you — hearing them talk about sex is at least as

hours of footage, so there's plenty to sink your teeth into. It differs
from most reality shows principally in the lack of conflict and
"villains." Perhaps it's because they were only in a house together for
a day and a half, but they all seem to get along remarkably well, and
overall they radiate positivity. (Which doesn't mean none of them
critique the porn business, but their complaints tend to have more to do
with institutional problems than interpersonal ones.) This is a lot
smarter than your average porn, and that's a good thing; smart is sexy.

laughter, and goofing around. If you're interested in wall-to-wall-sex,
this isn't for you, but if you have any curiosity about the real people
in porn, this is a rare chance to look behind the curtain. Derrick
Pierce and Roxy DeVille are especially interesting with an ongoing
discussion on the dynamics of rough sex (choking, slapping, etc.) —
when it's hot and when it's not, when it's acceptable and when it
crosses a line. Roxy is totally hilarious, too, presenting a non-stop
stream of jokes and stories and weirdness, including cartoon voices and
her strange predilection for rolling around in empty bathtubs. Hillary
is, as always, flat-out adorable, and Jada doesn't take crap from
anybody. They all talk about what they like, and don't like, in their
personal and professional sex lives, and discuss strategies for getting
through especially tough days on the job. The best sex scenes involve
Roxy and Derrick together and Hillary and Christian together, but there
are plenty of threesomes, foursomes, and shower sex (poor Christian
could barely wash himself without getting ambushed). There's not much in
the way of interpersonal drama, with everyone pretty much getting along,
so don't expect the petty slapfights typical of most reality shows. It's
nice to see performers talking so openly and honestly, and having so
much fun. There are heaps of bonus features, including lots of extra
footage, and if you really are just interested in the sex, there's a
positions menu,
too.

The basic premise is clever and used to very funny effect. A
documentary film crew follows around another documentary film
crew as they attempt to film the mating habits of San Francisco
lesbians. So In Search of the Wild Kingdom is a (fake)
documentary about a (fake) documentary about (real) lesbians.
(Follow all that?) Imagine one of those National Geographic programs,
with cameras watching lions from the distance, only instead of lions,
they're watching lesbians. The fundamental joke is that the people
having sex don't notice the camera crew in their apartment or in the
bar, and there's a really funny bit of business with a "decoy lesbian,"
a mannequin dressed up and sent out to attract the natives. All that's
cute and innovative, but what about the sex? This is a film made by and
for lesbians, but given the tastes of most heterosexual men, they're
likely to enjoy this, too, and it might even dispel some silly
misconceptions about how women have sex. (Short answer: they have sex in
all sorts of awesome ways.) The sex scenes are often really
intense, especially a long three-way with two women wearing strap-ons.
The most important thing: this is real fucking, messy, gasping,
sweaty, improvisational, impetuous, spirited, and beautiful. It's a very
funny mockumentary, but there's nothing mock about the sex. Don't miss
it.

There's no sense that the women are acting, either, and their
performances range from the shy and the demure to the loud and
exhibitionist. Watching young, cute women (with adorable Australian
accents) bring themselves to climax is wonderful, but their
conversations are often just as good, as they share fantasies, talk
about techniques, or just chat. Despite the fundamental artificiality of
filming two women masturbating side-by-side, the scenes feel very real
and unmediated, and it really does feel like you're peeking in at, well,

provides a handy demonstration, with the cute-as-a-button Monica

counter. As the scene ends, Savanna's voiceover encourages the
hypothetical viewer to watch the movie with his wife or girlfriend, and
then fuck her again. It's not a bad message, and the idea of a
boundary-pushing couples movie is a good one, though the film doesn't
push that hard, really. Which might be part of the point. It's on the
short side — only 75 minutes long, and they could have done a lot more,
and explored some other taboos and fantasies.

scene with Jean Val Jean. Of the girl-girl scenes, the best has Jana
Cova tying Charlie Laine and Karlie Montana together back-to-back and

for more hardcore fun. The scene with Jana and Holly Morgan starts
strongly, with Jana wielding a long whip (used mostly for oral play and

whipping), but it sort of trailed off and ended a bit abruptly. The most
elegantly-shot moment of the film comes in the final scene, with the
incredibly cute Daisy Marie dressed in stockings and white lingerie,

beautiful moment captured beautifully.
With a running time approaching three hours, there's plenty to love

They obviously take great comfort and solace from their
relationship — it seems to be the utter bedrock foundation of their

scene to take place in a car, for old time's sake, but it happens in

The production values are great (it was shot on HD, and
well-rewards a huge monitor), the acting is good, and the script isn't

straightforward title would suggest. Indeed, it's an elegant and even
sweet indie film, made with great care and attention to detail, with a

Dylan Ryan, and the success of the production depends entirely on their
chemistry together; fortunately, they seem perfectly at ease with one
another, and the film is like a glimpse into a long lost weekend of

that's all there is to this film, but the closeness of the focus does
not necessarily mean a lack of variety. There are scenes shot in black

gowns and high black boots; scenes of breathless fucking in a bathroom;
scenes of dripping candlewax; scenes of face-riding, featuring a dildo
in a mouth harness. The sweetly kinky sex onscreen is set off
beautifully by a jazzy, bluesy soundtrack, and by occasional thoughtful

Aguila. This is a charming jewel of a film.

short-haired, lean beauties (Vasa and Shawn) fucking in the kitchen
(with a lot of spraying water from the sink), to a bathroom floor-romp
with Rozen and Guy Handful that threatens to break fixtures and crack
porcelain, to an amazing three-way with deliciously femme lesbians,
featuring some of the hottest ass-play we've ever seen, with Dana
DeArmond and Princess Donna having their alternately rough and tender
way with the lovely Lorelei (familiar to devoted Blowfish fans from our
first feature, Clearly Sex).

This has about as much to do with anything in Asia as The
Mikado has to do with Japan (that is to say, not much except nice
costumes and sets... really quite lovely ones, in the case of this movie).
That being said, it's a great
movie.
Celeste continues the format she first pioneered in Posh Kitten, a series of
beautifully-shot, wordless vignettes, all moving slowly and stylishly
(indeed, it reminds us just a bit of Kabuki in that regard). Some are
girl/girl/boy, some are girl/girl, some are just girl, but they all move
at a dreamy, delicate pace, nothing like the slam-slam-slam style so
popular these days. The videography and art design are gorgeous,
sometimes stunning. Although it's not really a "bondage" movie, there's
fair amount of very attractive rope bondage, too, and one scene with an
actress lashed to a post that's definitely a bit more extreme than we've
seen in mainstream porn for a
while.
And if AVN creates a "Best and Most Thorough Use of
Chopsticks" award, this is a
shoo-in.
All of the scenes are worth watching, repeatedly, at great
length. The performers are very attractive, both male and female, and
there's a lot more female wetness than we usually seen in a mainstream
porn
movie.
If you are looking for something as interesting and beautiful
as a Michael Ninn movie, without Ninn's frenetic editing or sense of
cool reserve, Celeste (and this movie) are the movies for you. (2005,

extremely silly, but soon his client is on her knee sucking him off. We
skip over the wedding ceremony itself and go straight to the honeymoon.
Kirsten's fears are proved boundless, as her husband is sufficiently
passionate... and Kirsten's wedding-night lingerie is breathtaking. This
is a lighthearted, often funny film with some good scenes and a lovely
cast. Ask not for whom the wedding bell tolls; it tolls for thee. (2008,
