Lily is covered in a plastic that has a somewhat silky feel to it, almost like a silicone surface although it is not silicone. The tongues are about 7/8" long and 1" wide at the widest point, but you don't actually come in contact with the whole thing; on the slowest speed you'll only feel the tip that's about 1/4" long by 1/2" wide. You pretty much have to use lube with the Sqweel, since unlike a real mouth it will not self-lubricate.
