The Decadent Indulgence "3" sets a new standard in strong, effective, and shall we say fabulous, In/Out Vibrator technology. While we loved the original (we never saw the second model, perhaps the newt design didn't go down too well), this third edition is the strongest In/Out vibe to date.

Let's start with the basics. The shaft is fairly slim and swivels, almost like its hula hooping, at 10 different intensities. Affixed in tracks, the internal beads are set inside the jelly shaft at G-spot level for thrilling pressure and friction as the beads turn and the insertable portion rotates. (We should note that the insertable length of this vibe is a bit longer than others, so the beads might stimulate the vaginal lip as well.) A little elephant hovers over the beads, waiting to be taken through its paces: 10 levels of intensity and five different functions (constant, bleeping, escalating, a very intense roller coaster, and a pulse-pulse-shimmy routine). Press the "+" button to turn the vibrations on. Keep pressing the "+" button to increase the vibrations (and the "-" button to make them less intense). Press the "^" button to cycle through the various vibrating modes: both vibes steady, just clit, just the G-spot, and then on to various roller coaster, throbbing, back-and-forth pulses modes. We found the variations and the erratic nature of the pulses between the two vibrators to be frankly out-of-this-world — it felt random enough that it simulated a lover's intense ministrations, making our tester gasp as it rather quickly drove her over the edge. There are two adjustable black elastic thigh straps and one for the hips/back attached at the wing tips, so you can slip this in/on and it'll stay in place without having to hold on to it even if you're upright. The controls on the handle are fairly simple to use, although our tester tripped up a couple of times trying to turn it on by pressing the light, since it's the largest button-shaped thing on the handle. The actual controls are in a slightly recessed oval on the handle, and include a power on/off button with the universal standby/power button symbol and a separate button marked F that rotates through the 6 different vibrating styles. There's also a tiny light above the F button that changes colors depending on the vibration setting. The oval light between the control pad and the neck glows blue whenever the toy is on, and provides pretty good navigating light in the dark.

The six different vibrating modes are all pretty quiet and include three levels of straight vibration, quick pulsing between low and medium, two pulses on medium and a long pulse on high, and ramping from low to high. The high setting is almost as strong as the low setting on a Hitachi Magic Wand but more thrummy than thuddy. Also comparing to the Hitachi, the head is smaller, and that compact size was better suited to nestle against our tester, concentrating the vibrations more centrally on the clit and vulva than the broader field of vibration cast by the Hitachi's larger head.

The manufacturers say it's water resistant for shower and tub play, and that makes it easy to handle when cleaning with soap and warm water, but you should not be submerging this, since it's not guaranteed to be entirely water tight (if it were, the manufacturer would call it waterproof, not water resistant). When you wash it, make sure you rub in those grooves on the head to wipe out any lube or other debris!

Aside from the fierce tickler, the pink Rosebud is simplicity at its best. Made from silicone that is silky smooth to the touch, it glides over your pussy with little friction and slips inside easily. This is not a wildly intense vibration, at least not on the clit bump, even with the power turned up all of the way.
