Electrical stimulation play, or e-stim, has been a Blowfish speciality for years. We're very pleased to have one of the most comprehensive lines of e-stim toys you can find.

For a lot of people, e-stim is a scary topic, made more so by the expense and complexity of the toys. But it doesn't have to be scary, complicated, or even that expensive.

First, what's e-stim, anyway? E-stim uses the fact that the nerves are electro-chemical to stimulate them using outside electrical impulses. That's a fancy way of saying that running electricity through the body can do the same kind of thing that nerves do: Stimulate the muscles to contract, cause sensations, that sort of thing.

The first questions that nearly everyone has about e-stim are: Isn't that dangerous? and Doesn't that hurt?

To the first, if you observe some very basic safety rules, you can keep it completely safe. None of the electrical devices we sell put out enough current to be dangerous as long as they are always used below the waist. The only serious danger from e-stim is if current flows across the heart, but electricity doesn't "wander around" the body; if you are only playing below the waist, all is well.

To the second question, the real answer to "Doesn't that hurt?" is "Well, do you you want it to?" E-stim toys are all capable of producing a huge range of sensations from barely tingling to serious sensation play that is not for beginners. The next question is, "What should I buy?" Those of you who are curious about e-stim play, (especially insertable e-stim play), but don't want to make the big financial commitment of a power box and attachments just to try it out, can now get tingly with our new Electrosex Silicone Vibrator All-in-One Unit. 	MyStim Digital Power Box MyStim, you stim, we all scream for e-stim (so to speak, of course). We're thrilled to have the MyStim Digital Power Box and all of its attachments here at Blowfish! The MyStim Digital Power Box is ready for use when you open the lovely storage suitcase, after you unscrew the back and put the 9 volt battery (included) in, that is. The set comes with the box, battery, two sets of lead wires, and four sticky pads (white, but pictured from the bottom so they appear black) that can attach to any part of your external body (below the heart and not on the clitoris, though). Each set of two pads can be controlled individually via the dual channel controls on the box. 	MyStim Don Juan Probe This MyStim Don Juan Probe is one of the smaller e-stim attachments we've seen. Only an inch wide, this slippery, slim number is roughly finger sized! Without all of the usual girth to distract us from the e-stim sensations, we could really focus on exactly what was going on with the patterns we dictated on our power boxes. This toy is a bit tricky as it needs to be inserted at least 2 inches for you to feel the impulses, but not more than 3-3/8 inches or the whole MyStim Don Juan Probe could slip inside. (Oh, that naughty Don Juan, always stirring up trouble!) 	MyStim Julian Bulb The MyStim Julian Bulb is quite an unusual vaginal toy. Instead of filling up the pussy like a dildo, this "bulb" slips inside and rests around the edges of the vaginal wall. Even though there was a toy tucked up inside our pussies, we hardly noticed there was a toy in there at all once the power box was turned on. With positive and negative poles located on the sides of the the 1-1/4 inch thick oval (3/4 inch tall), the electrical charges wrap the G-spot and lower vagina in waves and spasms of sensation. A teeny flange keeps you from inserting this toy further than the designated 2-3/4 inches, but the base is not significantly large enough to trust it as an anal flange. 	MyStim Lust Egg Oh, the uses of the MyStim Lust Egg are many! This oval egg is just the thing for all sorts of vaginal play. Insert the egg past the black strip that separates the two poles to allow current to flow through your body between the two ends. Shallow penetration will stimulate the nerves surrounding the opening to the vagina. Going a bit deeper allows the egg to nestle up against the G-spot. At this depth, you can work on your kegel muscles, though depending on what setting you have your MyStim PowerBox on, you might find it hard to count/ concentrate on those exercises. The nice thing here, though, is that the electrical current is doing a lot of the work for you, making the muscles contract, increasing blood flow to the vagina and stimulating the pelvic floor. 	MyStim Tristan Wand The MyStim Tristan Wand is a small probe in a pleasing tapered shape that delivers a bit of zing just where you want it. At only 2-1/2" insertable, it makes for a small vaginal probe, and on the "beginner" side for a butt-plug, but thanks to the positive pole on one side and the negative one on the other, the electrical current this little guy delivers can definitely be quite noticeable. 	Digital Electrosex Power Box Novices to E-stim as well as old veterans will love this Digital Electrosex Power Box. The sleek design and small LCD screen make venturing into electrical play a user-friendly and utterly fabulous experience. 	Electrosex Bloop Wand Our Electrosex Bloop Wand is the hardcore, e-stim version of the silicone anal bloop wands that you know and love. Despite its somewhat intimidating, robotic appearance (we think it's the squared-off bloops that makes it read this way), it's really not bad for butt-play beginners. At only 1" wide (only 13/16" in the grooves between the bloops), it's not really that much bigger than most thumbs. 	Four Channel Electrosex Power Box If you've been playing with your Digital Electrosex Power Box and wondering if you should buy another one so you could use more attachments at one time, you might want to pay attention. Electrosex has come out with a new Four Channel Electrosex Power Box that lets you use — you guessed it — four attachments simultaneously!
