For you more adventurous types, sticking your metal toy in the freezer for a bit or running it under some hot water will add a new dimension to your play. In addition to all this, metal toys are incredibly easy to care for. Metal is non-porous, making clean-up a snap. It is easily disinfected with a weak bleach solution (10% or less) or rubbing alcohol, though gentle washing with soap and water are best for every-day cleaning.

Some people are fond of washing their sex toys in the dishwasher, which acts a lot like an autoclave, and works well for metal toys. However, if you choose to use this method, please don't use dish washing detergent or rinsing agents, as they are bad for your pink bits and for some metals. In fact, you shouldn't use any soap at all, as the water and heat will be enough to clean them thoroughly. You should also select the air dry cycle, as it will dry your toys enough to keep them from rusting. Needless to say, if your metal toy takes batteries, do not put it in the dishwasher. We also do not recommend putting the Decorative Metal Butt-Toys in the dishwasher, as the adhesive that holds the jewel in place may not hold up well. Finally, keep in mind that, if you wash your metal toys with the rest of your dishes, the metal toys are sure to win in a fight.

No matter how you choose to wash your toy, please dry thoroughly to avoid rusting and spotting. Please note that some of our metal toys, while made entirely of metal, are not made of one solid piece of metal; it is especially important to make sure that liquids are not allowed to sit in the joints of those toys because they may rust.

Metal toys aren't particularly sensitive to light or other indoor environmental influences. You can safely store your lovely metal toys on a shelf or table if you like. Keep in mind that you want to be careful when storing it with more fragile items, such as glass. If you are going to be storing it with a lot of other toys, it is best to wrap your metal toy in a fuzzy cloth or sock.

Though metal might be the perfect sex toy material for some, there are a few things you need to watch out for. You want to check your toy for burrs as soon as you receive it, so as not to shred your delicate bits. Just to be on the safe side, a thorough check should be done every once in a while. If you are freezing or heating your metal toy before use, please check that it's actually a temperature that humans would find comfortable and pleasurable before using it. Think about the genital equivalent of getting your tongue stuck to a metal sign post in winter and you'll see what we mean. Also, metal toys and glass toys do not mix well, for reasons that should be obvious. If you must use metal and glass toys together, please keep a cushy barrier between them at all times.
