This delightfully drawn book can't seem to make up its mind about where
it's going, but it sure has fun getting there. It's the old yarn about a
convent of nuns gone bad, starting in the Lovecraftian vein, then
heading into the purely Satanistic, and taking a final turn into the
absurdly surreal. Multi-phallused demons, Beelzebub as a goat with the
biggest dick you ever saw, beautiful nuns being wildly debauched -- what
more could you want? Well, how about an unintentionally comedic ending
with the Pope's shock troops with consecrated weenies? Knights Templar,
no less! Very silly, very sexy -- classic anti-Catholic kink. All thumbs

This book has been far too long in coming, and we're bursting with pride
that former Blowfishie Greta Christina is the editor. A huge and
wide-ranging look at just about every imaginable style of erotic comic,
including works by Michael Manning, Quinn, Gilbert Hernandez, Phoebe
Glockner, Daphne Gottleib along with many, many others. The comics range
from the sweet to the extreme strange, the pleasant to the extremely...
well, extreme. Every orientation is represented, and a good swath of
most kinks. The art style covers the gambit from the detailed to the
rough, artistic to the explicit (and the artistic and explicit, for that
matter). We love erotic comics here at Blowfish, and we cannot think of

laugh-out-loud hilarious, and actually pretty gosh-darned informative,
cartoon sex guide. We were tempted to put it in the Resources and
References section; the ideas and information in it are wise,
useful, clearly-explained, and non-judgmental, and it does make an
excellent general sex-education book. (We'd especially recommend it for
parents to give to their teenage kids.) But we figured that most people
would buy it for the hysterical cartoon illustrations on sex topics
ranging from animal biology (the source of many of the funniest
drawings) to emotions and relationships, from birth control to sex
etiquette, from widely varied variations to just plain old fucking. And

What a fun comic! Eight rompy sex comedies, each set in what appears to
be, more or less, ancient China. The women are breathtakingly beautiful,
the knights noble and true, the bad guys sufficiently vile and the
aliens appropriately bewildered by our world. Why, yes, there are aliens
in several of these stories, and they add the perfect amount of absurd
humor to clinch the plot. We were very impressed with the clever way sex
is used as a mainstay of all of these stories. The sex is hot, and it
took us awhile to even notice that it's not quite as graphic as it could
be (erections are seen only through clothing, close-ups of the vagina
are avoided and sex is presented mid-coitus, not from insertion).
Overall, the best new erotic comic we've seen in months! (2005, 60 pp.)

This project by Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbe was over a decade in the
creating, and the result was worth the wait. Moore takes the grown-up
versions of Alice (from Alice in Wonderland), Dorothy (from The Wizard
of Oz) and Wendy (from Peter Pan) and has them meet and reminisce over
their sexual awakenings so many years ago. These memories somewhat
follow the well-known children's tales from which they come, but with
definite salacious twists. The writing is top-notch, the artwork
stunningly beautiful and the sex... well, this reader found it both
erotic and fascinating. Be warned that these books do depict underage
sex -- the characters are drawn mind you, not real in any way --
as well as bestiality and drug use. Definitely one of the most
impressive erotic graphic novels out there today. Recommended! (2006,

Talk about a page turner! Rent Girl follows the life of one
baby dyke who turns to prostitution to make an easy buck; unfortunately,
the buck isn't always as easy as she'd hoped. The story is at once
laugh-out-loud funny and incredibly poignant and raw -- you have
sympathy for the main character even as you shake your head at some of
her decisions and misadventures. The illustrations capture the best
moments of the plot, with expressive facial expressions that add layers
to the already witty and engaging story. Sure, there are some typos and
misused words, but for the most part that just adds to the personal

If you liked Von Gotha's The Troubles of Janice series,
chances are you'll like Twenty. Although set in the near
future instead of the late 18th century, Twenty still
offers the truly delectable plot of a young, nubile woman being

sent to a "new school" where practical sex education is taught
and the uniforms are designed for very easy access to the student body.
What follows is all kinds of debauchery, with a bit of kidnapping and
BDSM thrown in to advance the plot. We just love the way Von Gotha draws
lush young women, and his orgy scenes are some of our favorites -- so
what if the plot is just a bit silly? Twenty still gets us
